# Kryss

> Kryss is a free online word game site and crossword maker. A new picture-clue crossword (Scandinavian / arrow-words style — also called an arrowword, a Swedish-style crossword or a picture crossword) is published every day in 12 languages, free to play with no download or signup. Anyone can also make their own crossword for free — custom words, custom clues, themed puzzles, image clues — then play it online, print it, download it, share it with friends by link or QR code, or embed it on a website.

The English daily crossword lives at the site root; every other language edition has its own URL (e.g. /fr, /sv, /de). Localized public pages have a twin under their language code (/fr/maker, /pl/faq, /sv/blog …). The company About page is available in 15 languages, including /about (English), /de/ueber-uns (German), /fr/a-propos (French) and /ua/pro-nas (Ukrainian). Crosswords made with the maker are playable and shareable at /Crossword/{id}. The site interface is available in 15 languages.
